The Person:
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong and technically adept Management Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be focused on the details and ensuring their analysis is both extensive and accurate. The ability to take a considered approach to problems and propose well though out and investigated solutions is a key part of the role.
Confidence and excellent communication skills are essential as you will work closely with senior management delivering ad-hoc analysis in a business partnering capacity. A solid accounting background is required as are strong analytical skills in order to investigate, understand and explain variances and overall business performance.
You should be a driven and ambitious accountant / assistant management accountant wanting join a fantastic company where you will be encouraged to take on extra responsibilities and progress your career upwards. This will be the 2nd most senior finance function within the business and the perfect candidcate will show the intelligence, work ethic and personality to allow them to be part of the Senior Management Team in the future.
The Role:
Preparation of the monthly management accounts
Accruals, prepayments and P & L analysis
Report on variances
Review all balance sheet accounts and prepare monthly reconciliations.
Manage intercompany recharges and balances.
Assist in the preparation of the monthly finance pack, providing insightful commentary for internal stakeholders
Leading month end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
Supporting and leading on any systems and process improvements
Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc projects.
Support year end Audit and VAT reporting.
ONS reporting
Stock reporting
Site based due to work required within departments, no hybrid or home based working can be considered
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS /SKILLS:
Part qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA, ACA)
Experience within Management Accountants
Relevant experience in a similar role
Strong technical, analytic, and reporting skills
Excellent IT skills (advanced knowledge of Excel essential)
Accurate and attention to detail
Able to meet deadlines.

Inquisitive and a finisher
