Rocal Group's Accounting team is expanding - we're looking for a capable and detail-orientated Management Accountant to join us in this exciting development role.
Your main contribution will be to provide the Group with timely and accurate financial reporting whilst providing insightful operational analysis to each business division. You will play a critical role in our financial operations and the wider ongoing success of our business.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and management of monthly management accounts, taking ownership of the Profit & Loss, Fixed Asset Register, Balance Sheet, ensuring timely & accurate data.
Prepare and develop management information to support with driving understanding and company performance, providing variance analysis of actuals vs budget and variations on the weekly and monthly reporting.
Conduct profitability analysis for different business segments and services, projects, or departments to support strategic decision-making.
Support initiatives and drive systems/process improvements, enhancing analysis and information for decision making and further developments in line with business strategy.
Calculation and monitoring of appropriate stock methodologies across the Group, focussing on an optimum benchmark and identifying slow moving items.
Support Procurement in the stocktakes and in identifying opportunities to reduce the material cost per product.
Validate BOM's to derive at accurate pricing reviews, using variances to help suggest changes and improvements to the operational and procurement procedures.
Implement controls and tools to ensure that costs are controlled, authorised and allocated correctly, whilst being communicated effectively to the budget holder.
Collaborate with other departments to explain daily / weekly / monthly variances in material usage and labour efficiency.
Future lead on ERP/SAP system.
What You Bring
CIMA qualified, part qualified or to hold comparable experience.
Experience as a Management Accountant, Manufacturing Accountant or similar role.
Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis using tools such as Excel and financial software, preferably previous experience in SAP or ERP systems.
Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Salary, Benefits, and Hours
35,000 to 45,000 per annum dependent on experience
40 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm)
