JOB SUMMARY



The Management Accountant position will support finance practices and objectives that drive a high performance culture emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, ethics and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES



To read, understand and be committed to conducting business in accordance to Albany International's Business Ethics Policy. All business of the company should, at all times, be conducted ethically, fairly, honestly and with integrity. Perform timely Monthly, quarterly and annual closing duties and financial statements under US GAAP following the close calendar provided. Perform analysis of general ledger accounts and identify necessary adjustments. To prepare documentation to support journal entries and ending balances account reconciliations. Communicate with other members of global finance team on intercompany activity and balances and record necessary adjustments. Sarbanes Oxley & Compliance. Responsible for ensuring corporate objectives relating to SOX and internal controls are met. Including responsibilities in the account reconciliation process, SOX testing and documentation, plus internal and external audit support. Provide ad hoc assistance, analysis and reporting as required by management. Review accounts payable activities (such as AP Invoices and Payments) and perform related SOX controls. Knowledge of any other European local GAAP and Tax is considered beneficial.

REQUIREMENTS



Required Skills:



Knowledge of USGAAP Experience with any European Local GAAP knowledge is considered beneficial Ability to work independently and as a team member with supervision Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills Sarbanes Oxley is beneficial Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Strong sense of commitment to meeting deadlines Strong ERP system experience required and experience with SAP/SAP S4H is beneficial Open for additional challenges (e.g. taking over responsibility for an additional entity, etc.) and potential projects

Required Experience:



Minimum 5 years of prior experience in general ledger and financial closing activities

Required Languages:



Fluency in English. Any other European languages will be a bonus.

Education Requirements / Qualifications:



Degree or further Education in Accounting and Finance

1. Lockout/Tagout requirements are never to be violated or bypassed.

2. No one is permitted to operate any powered industrial truck or company vehicle without the proper training, license and documented current Albany International certification.

3. Removing or defeating a machine guard or any other safety device is strictly prohibited (except for service or repair work performed by certified maintenance personnel.)

4. Never stand, walk, work or place any body part underneath a suspended load or overhead work; and never move a suspended load or conduct work above another person. Only trained and authorized employees may operate suspended load equipment or work at heights.

All accidents, no matter how minor, are to be reported to leadership immediately. All employees are expected to cooperate fully in the investigation, analysis and corrective actions related to any accident

Pay: 42,000.00-45,000.00 per year
