Management Accountant

Job Description

Working closely with the Finance Manager and two Assistant Finance Managers, you will be producing high quality financial information, including analysis of income and cost recharges to and from other organisations, monthly management accounts on projects and divisional performance and support with forecasts and business planning.



You will be looking to develop your skills in providing sound support and advice to the operational teams to help manage the Trust's NHS and Private Care finances. You will have excellent communication skills and be highly computer literate, with excellent attention to detail



To provide assistance and absence cover for other members of the Finance team, as required.



To continually review and recommend improvements to financial processes and procedures within the Trust.



To assist with the development of the Financial Information Systems.



Any other duties as required, which are consistent with the grade and nature of the post.

To identify, investigate and obtain explanations for significant variances and to discuss these variances with budget holders and managers.



To meet regularly with budget holders to assess financial performance and to provide information and analysis to them.



To ensure that all official meetings with budget holders are documented and the outcome agreed.



To respond both to regular and ad-hoc requests for information from Clinical Units, wards, departments and other members of the Divisional team.
