This is an excellent Management Accountant position with a leading Manufacturing business in Chorley. The role involves overseeing financial operations and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making within the accounting and finance department.

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to support business planning.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards.
• Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Manage cash flow and oversee the preparation of financial statements.
• Support the annual audit process by liaising with external auditors.
• Monitor key performance indicators and contribute to strategic decision-making.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the accounting and finance team.

The successful Management Accountant should have:

• A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
• Proven experience in preparing management accounts and financial analysis.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
• Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
• An ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating across departments.
