The Hinton Admiral Estate is a 5,500-acre Estate set on the South Coast of England; between the BCP City and the New Forest National Park. It includes a diverse range of property interests, from residential lettings, small - large commercial lettings (anything from a garage to a garden centre), grazing agreements, holiday lets, storage licences and campsites to name but a few.
The Hinton Admiral Estate is managed by Meyrick Estate Management Ltd, which looks after the interests of the Meyrick family and their wider group of companies. The wider group looks after more than 50 entities including companies, trusts, partnerships and personally held assets.
Your New Role
The Hinton Admiral Estate is looking for an exceptional Management Accountant to take ownership of the Estate's finances and to assist the Hinton Admiral Estate Manager in the day-to-day financial management and oversight of the Estate and its various businesses.
This could include, but is not limited to, the production of management accounts, VAT returns, business planning and cashflow advice, financial analysis and budgeting.
The Hinton Admiral Estate is a complex business which is made up of in excess of 25 different entities. It is undergoing a particularly strong growth period at present, which sees it investing heavily into its existing assets and bringing forward new developments. It is therefore becoming increasingly important for the Estate team to have access to real-time data, to help shape the decision-making process as well as reviewing project performance post completion.
What You'll Need to Succeed
You should have evidenced success of Management Accounting, working knowledge of all relevant legislation etc., outstanding organisational and reporting skills and be highly customer focused in your approach.
The Person - Experience
Preparation of management accounts and board reports for multiple entities
Preparation of budgets, forecast and cashflows for multiple entities
Preparing and posting journals and transactions
Reconciliations, including Intercompany and bank reconciliation
VAT - including proportional VAT
Preparation of year end working papers
Monthly reviews with the estate team
Working with the estate team to ensure accurate data, providing analysis and reports
Providing analysis and commentary on the accounts.
The Person - Personal Skills
A relevant background in a property management company would be an advantage

Advanced excel user
Experience of multiple accounting packages
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to organise and prioritise workload
Excellent organisational skills
Exceptional attention to detail
