About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Management Accountant
to join
Impact Living
, a social enterprise making a difference in the community. You will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, delivering insights that drive decision-making, and supporting our leadership team with timely and accurate financial information.
This hands-on role involves preparing management accounts, overseeing cost control, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial standards and organisational policies.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
Prepare accurate monthly group management accounts.
Monitor budgets and analyse departmental spending to ensure cost-effective operations.
Year-end financial reporting and audit preparation.
Financial Control & Compliance
Maintain accurate financial records aligned with statutory and regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with accounting best practices and internal control procedures.
Manage fixed assets register and depreciation postings.
Business Support & Insight
Partner with senior leadership, including the CEO, Business Development Manager, and Finance Manager, providing strategic financial insight.
Assist in developing budgets, forecasts, and performance reports to support business growth.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
Leadership & Collaboration
Support the Business Development Manager with financial aspects of business development activities.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and other financial professionals.
Uphold and promote the values of Impact Living in all aspects of work.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified CIMA or ACCA, or equivalent qualification/experience.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of
2 years' experience
as a Management Accountant or in a similar role.
Proficiency in
Xero accounting software
and strong
Excel
skills.
Strong financial management and analytical capabilities.
Demonstrated experience in
budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Experience within the
property or rental sector
is advantageous.
