We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented UK Management Accountant to join our Finance team at Clarke Energy. In this role, you will take ownership of producing accurate management accounts and financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulations and supporting key business decisions. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare UK financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cashflows, and monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary.
Ensure all financial ledgers are posted and reconciled within required deadlines.
Provide timely and accurate management reporting to support business performance.
Manage interim and year-end audits with PwC, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
Maintain compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.
Review and improve accounting practices and processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Process month-end project WIP in line with IFRS 15.
Assist with ERP upgrades or implementations and upload management accounts into OneStream.
Analyse UK projects and manage the UK Bond Facility.
Produce UK balance sheet reconciliations and support overseas group reporting as required.
Maintain and develop accounting systems, recommending improvements where necessary.
Support financial year-end activities and undertake ad hoc duties aligned with business needs.
Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards are adhered to at all times.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
ACCA or CIMA qualified (or finalist with extensive experience).
Minimum 3 years' experience working in industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting packages and excellent Microsoft Excel/Office skills.
Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
Good level of business understanding and analytical skills.
Desirable:
Experience in an engineering environment or similar.
Familiarity with Navision 4ps.
