Job Role:
Artic is a well-respected Facilities Management company that services some of London and the South East's best-known institutions and buildings across the health and educational sectors.
As Management Accountant, you will lead the transactional finance operations within Artic, ensuring the efficient, accurate and timely processing of financial transactions including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash postings and expense management.
This role is pivotal in maintaining high-quality financial records, supporting system and process improvements and enhancing cashflow visibility and control.
The Management Account will manage a small team and work collaboratively with wider finance and commercial stakeholders to drive operational excellence and strong working capital management.
Responsibilities:
Support production of monthly management and annual statutory accounts to strict timescales.
Management of the Transactional Finance Team.
Support the year end audit.
Review general ledger transaction postings; month-end journals, including payroll, accruals, accrued and deferred revenue and costs.
Ad hoc financial reporting and support on business partnering as required.
Maintenance of balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
Oversight of credit control, bank account and payment runs; management of employee expenses in Payhawk.
Production of draft company VAT returns for review by the Head of Finance.
Maintenance of company fixed assets.
Implementation and maintenance of effective internal controls and procedures.
Implementation and maintenance of accounting systems
Working with other people in the company to build and promote a team environment, generate commitment, define clear objectives and highlight agreed common goals, in order to maximise the performance of the company.
Skills and Experience required:
As a member of the finance team and reporting to the Head of Finance, this position demands certain personal attributes, competencies and capabilities:

Competent IT capabilities in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Sage 200 (preferred)
Qualified or Part Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
Strong academic record
