Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking for a new opportunity? Datapath are keen to find the ideal candidate to join our fast paced and forward-thinking Operational Finance team. This role is based in our head office in

Derby, England.

About the Role



Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will lead the management accounting and reporting function our sub-groups within Datapath which form the operational finance of the company.

Ensuring accurate financial performance tracking, compliance with parent group reporting standards, and effective financial support to business units within the sub-group.

What you'll do:



Financial Reporting



Financial reporting for Datapath LTD and other Company Groups; preparing monthly management consolidated accounts in line with HQ submission deadlines.

As part of the monthly management accounts, ensure that Balance Sheet Reconciliations are completed. Ensure that payroll reconciliation is completed.

Complete monthly analytical review of Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts.

Work with local accountants.

Ensuring our year end accounts are prepared in line with UK Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) or UK Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Liaise with the local audit teams to ensure that our year end audits in each location in line with HQ submission deadlines.

VAT Compliance



Ensure UK VAT compliance.

Ensure GST (Goods & Service Task) compliance.

Group Alignment and Compliance



Liaison between the sub-group and the parent group finance team to promote continual improvement and consistent processes.

Ensure compliance with group accounting policies, reporting standards, and consolidation requirements.

Support group-wide audits and financial reviews, providing necessary documentation and analysis.

Budgeting and Forecasting



Working with the financial controller on budgeting and forecasting.

When required, provide scenario analysis and financial modelling to support decision making.

Business Partnering



Work closely with operational and divisional leaders to provide financial insights and support.

Identify opportunities for cost control and margin improvement.

Process and System Improvement



Drive improvements in reporting processes and financial controls within the sub-group and in partnership with the group.

Support implementation and optimization of financial systems and tools.

Promote automation and standardisation of reporting across entities.

About You:



The ideal candidate will have:

ACA, ACCA, CIMA. Qualified Accountant.

Strong understanding of management accounting, consolidation, and reporting.

Experience in a multi-entity environment, ideally within a group structure.

Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), consolidation tools.

Experience reporting to a parent group structure.

Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or UK Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
