We are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to support and manage the financial operations within the industrial and manufacturing sector.
This role, based in Derby, requires expertise in accounting and finance to ensure effective financial management and reporting. This Management Accountant position is a all rounded position in a small finance team reporting to senior stakeholders.

• Prepare and analyse financial reports to support decision-making processes.
• Preparation of Management Accounts.
• Month and year end reporting.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting activities effectively.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Monitor and evaluate financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with various departments to improve financial efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Oversee cost analysis and provide insights to optimise expenditure.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and systems.

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• A professional qualification in accounting or finance or be Qualified by Experience.
• Have experience within a similar position as a Finance Manager / Management Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting processes.
• Experience within the industrial or manufacturing sector is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Able to commute to their offices in Derby.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
