Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Management Accountant with industry experience to join our finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles, as well as proficiency in various accounting software.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Take ownership of Balance Sheet Reconciliations including Bank Accounts, Payables and Receivables Oversee cashflow and forecasting activities, providing insights to improve financial performance. Utilise accounting software such as Pinewood DMS and Power BI for efficient financial reporting and management. Mentor junior staff members in financial practices and accounting software usage. Conduct regular audits of financial processes to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with organisational objectives. Prepare reports for management that detail financial performance and highlight key trends.

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role within industry is essential. ACA / ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent qualification Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices. Experience in mentoring or training team members is an advantage. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are crucial for success in this role. Motor Industry Experience is an advantage
