Summary of role
We are seeking a dedicated Management Accountant to join our team in Feltham. This role is to provide financial insight that supports strategic and operational decision-making. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, performance reporting, and ensuring financial information is accurate, timely, meaningful to the business, and in line with statutory requirements.
Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly Management Accounts with emphasis on the manufacturing process, which includes inventory and costing analysis
Performing analytical reviews of nominal ledger accounts for assigned companies, on a monthly, half yearly and full yearly basis
Performing month end close procedures for assigned companies
Ownership of annual budget preparations and finance template
Preparation of audit files including liaising with external auditors
Review product profitability highlighting internal control weaknesses
Preparation, review and submission of VAT returns and cashbook management
Pension cashbook, investment summaries and year end audit
Support in delivery of stocktaking, including support of external auditor coordination, anomaly review, amendment and final posting
Authorising weekly payment runs and monthly payroll
The ability to work towards tight deadlines
Qualifications
Part Qualified, studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
Have at least one of the following AAT (level 3 or 4), Batchelors Degree in relevant/related subject (e.g. Accounting & Finance, Accounting & Business, Mathematics)
2+ years' experience working in an accounts department (desirable)
Prior exposure to management accounts and a strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and double entry.
Proactive problem solver, communicating and implementing controls to remove risk/error in the future along with a high attention to detail
