The Opportunity:



We are seeking a detail-oriented

Management Accountant

to join a supportive team where you will focus primarily on the production of accurate management accounts and preparation of VAT returns. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and precise financial reporting, assisting in month-end processes, and managing VAT compliance. While the role is more focused on the technical side of accounting, it offers a great chance to gain exposure to core financial operations and refine your skills in financial accuracy and compliance within a collaborative environment. Ideal for someone looking to develop their expertise in financial reporting and VAT management.

Responsibilities:



Prepare management accounts on time and communicate key financial data to internal and external stakeholders. Analyse general ledger accounts and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Team Lead to ensure payments, trading activity and overheads are recorded correctly Accurately produce quarterly VAT returns. Maintain the fixed asset register. Assist with year-end account preparation and handle ad hoc duties as required. Take on any other duties as required, showcasing flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the role.

Required Skills and Experience:



Minimum requirement: ATT qualification. Additional qualifications such as ACA, CIMA or ACCA, will be beneficial. Minimum of two years in accounting role. Proficiency in the use of Xero accounting software is desirable. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial tasks. Ability to maintain accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.

Location:

The position is office-based in Bournemouth (BH23), England.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30 (1/2 hour lunch break)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 32,000.00-36,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
