We do this by working closely with our clients, producing really meaningful and bespoke management information and reporting and we are always keen to engage with our clients - which may mean working on site with clients on occasion or using technology like Teams.
We provide our services throughout East Anglia and beyond from our base in Martlesham, Suffolk and we work with business of varying sizes in a wide range of sectors. Our services are wide ranging and can be light touch assistance and help through to fractional CFO services and a full finance function.
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis (25 hours per week). This role is ideal for a self-motivated and ambitious individual who can work independently while also contributing effectively within a small, supportive team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting software, with a focus on providing accurate financial reporting and analysis. They will enjoy problem solving and asking probing questions while always trying to equally provide solutions.
Responsibilities
Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Manage and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Support year-end processes and liaise with external accountants.
Implement and maintain efficient financial systems and processes.
Assist with ad-hoc financial projects as required.
About You
A desire to push for new solutions and ideas to help us constantly improve our services to existing clients as well as helping us to win new clients.
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent), or qualified by experience.
Strong track record of working
independently and self-reliantly
, with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate within a small team environment when needed.
Previous experience with
owner-managed or small businesses
is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of their unique financial and operational challenges.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to provide clear, actionable financial advice.
Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
