AssetCool is addressing one of the most pressing challenges in the global energy transition - grid congestion. By combining cutting-edge grid robotics with breakthrough materials science, our technology transforms the physical performance of the grid in situ, increasing current-carrying capacity by up to 30%, at just 5% of the cost and in a tenth of the time compared to conventional approaches.

In addition to enhancing capacity, our solutions tackle other grid constraints including corrosion, electrical noise, and enable the collection of high-value data to build accurate, predictive digital twins. Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Management Accountant to join our small but growing finance team. This is a pivotal "number two" role, working closely with the Finance Director and mentoring a junior accountant. You will play a key part in the day-to-day running of the finance function, while also contributing to exciting strategic projects, including the rollout of a new ERP system and the establishment of overseas subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts and post routine journals. Assist with quarterly grant claims. Support monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes. Liaise with external accountants at year-end. Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members. Contribute to finance projects such as ERP implementation and overseas expansion.

Required Skills & Experience

Demonstrable management accounting experience. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with operational and commercial teams. Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Part-qualified or actively studying towards a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail. Proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to get involved at all levels.
