Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Management Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and contributing to strategic financial planning. This position requires a strong understanding of financial accounting principles and proficiency in sage accounting software. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to mentor.

Duties

Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support management decision-making. Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers. Utilise accounting software Sage for effective financial management. Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business performance. Undertake day to day book-keeping and undertaking Payroll accurately. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards. Assist in the preparation of budgets and monitor adherence throughout the fiscal year.

Requirements

A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is essential. Proven experience in financial accounting or management accounting roles. Proficiency in accounting software Sage is highly desirable. Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is an advantage. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
