We're looking for a qualified and motivated

Management Accountant

to join our finance team in the fast-paced construction sector. Supporting around

200 employees across 12 locations in the UK

, you'll play a key role in providing financial insight, control, and guidance to help us grow sustainably.

This is a varied position where you'll take ownership of management accounts, analyse performance, and work closely with managers across the business - all while helping us operate efficiently and responsibly.

What You'll Do

Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts and supporting reports Monitor project performance with variance analysis and commentary against budgets and forecasts Deliver detailed analysis on financial and operational performance, working with operations teams to support cost control and efficiency improvements Reconcile control and balance sheet accounts, VAT returns, and inventory control Partner closely with departmental managers across multiple sites Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital Conduct costing analysis, WIP (work in progress) reporting, and margin analysis Ensure compliance with financial procedures, industry regulations, and accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP) Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors Contribute to system and process improvements within finance Provide ad hoc financial analysis for senior management Manage the Purchase Ledger function

What You'll Bring

Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) Experience of month-end processing Previous experience in project accounting, job costing, or construction finance cycles (preferred) Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach Ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive response to change
