The Role

We're looking for a hands-on

Management Accountant

to support our finance function and provide clear financial insight to the wider business. You will produce accurate monthly accounts, improve reporting, and help drive commercial decision-making in a fast-paced digital environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow. Analyse performance against budgets and forecasts; prepare commentary. Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities. Maintain accurate general ledger controls, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments. Monitor key commercial metrics, including stock valuation, product profitability, and margin analysisMonitor stock, margins and product profitability. Partner with operations, customer service and development teams to provide financial insight. Improve and automate finance processes, reporting and system integrations. Assist with statutory reporting and communication with external accountants.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA or equivalent). Proven experience in management accounting, ideally in an SME, eCommerce or retail environment. Data & Analysis: Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Data Modelling) and strong analytical capabilities. Strong analytical skills and excellent Excel ability. Good understanding of stock accounting and transactional finance processes. Confident communicator who can work across teams.

Desirable:

Experience with Microsoft BC and eCommerce / ERP systems. Knowledge of margin analysis, product costing or multi-channel sales environments. Familiarity with automation and data integration projects.

Proactive, curious and commercially minded. Comfortable owning tasks and improving processes. Able to adapt quickly and work well within a friendly, fast-moving team.
