At Cardo Scotland, we are poised for significant growth and are seeking a strategic and experienced professional to join our team as a Management Accountant.

This is a key role that will contribute to the overall success of the organisation working alongside senior management.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:



Financial Accounting:

Balance sheet control account reconciliations Management of the fixed asset register Management of the Subcontractor payments and CIS filings and payments WIP journal postings Ensure VAT returns are fully audited, submitted and paid on time Maintain intercompany balances data Daily Sales Invoicing Credit Card Reconciliations Supplier Payment Runs

Management Accounts:

Preparation of monthly management accounts Management of the overhead allocations Analysis of cost variances against budget Trend analysis

Cash Flow Management:

Preparation of weekly cashflow reports Work in collaboration with the AR and AP teams

Project Reporting:

Prepare project reports for month end CVR's Report variances and trends (cost increases / turnover movements)

Office National Statistics:

Provide data for various ONS submissions Ensure timely submissions

AR and AP Functions:

Provide support to both AR and AP functions as necessary

Qualifications/Experience:



Working towards Industry-recognised certification (ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience Proven experience in similar role (4 years+ experience in accounts department) Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles. Robust Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Document scanning & invoice approval software. Construction Industry Scheme (CIS). Work in Progress (WIP) accounting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
