Role Overview



We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our dedicated Finance department. The key purpose of this role is to be responsible to the Senior Management Accountant (Property Services) for the completion of financial reporting and all other financial information associated with relevant business areas.


Key responsibilities:



To prepare the management accounts and commentary for the relevant business areas in accordance with the Finance Team's timetable, ensuring that all financial activities are conducted in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations To be the primary contributor to the completion of statutory year end accounts and to be the main contact with external auditors in relation to the entity they are responsible for, and the respective functional areas across the Group To assist in the preparation of the relevant departmental annual budget and, by effective monitoring, ensure they are delivered on time and to provide information as required to the Senior Management Accountant and the Head of Operational Financial Reporting To assist in the preparation of the Forecast in conjunction with other areas of finance and functional budget holders Prepare analysis of key financial performance ratios and indicators for inclusion in the management accounts and board return To proactively contribute to the development, improvement and growth of the Group's financial services and ensure that the Group and its customers benefit from the highest standards of service delivery To contribute to, and assist the development of, the Group's financial strategy and to cover for the other Management Accountants when required To assist the Senior Management Accountant in providing all financial support and analysis Regularly review information requirements with departmental managers and ensure service delivery is of the quality required for effective management To prepare property services functional reporting and in doing so produce information consistent with the management accounts, forecasts and budgets and all benchmarking information for the Group Regularly review, with other Finance Team members within the Group, the financial systems and make recommendations for changes when require Ensure that the departmental timetable for monthly, quarterly and annual routines surrounding reconciliation's, period end, year-end, production of management accounts, annual accounts, budgets and forecasts are met

More about you



Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Math's and English (Grades A- C)
Accounting professional qualification or part qualified to Applied Skills level (ACCA/ CIMA) Current experience of budgeting, forecasting and management accounts Current experience building relationships with internal and external customers Ability to problem solve using analytical skills and tools like Microsoft office including excel to aid decision making Analytical report writing skills
