Job Description

Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a confident, detail-driven finance professional to join our team and play a key role in our financial operations and reporting.
As our Management Accountant, you'll be at the heart of our finance function. You'll be preparing accurate and timely management accounts, leading financial reporting, and ensuring our processes are efficient, compliant, and commercially focused. You'll work closely with the FD, CFO, and wider stakeholders, providing valuable insight and business partnering to support strategic decision-making. You'll also lead and develop a small team, bringing out the best in others through mentoring, coaching, and support. Playing a crucial role in shaping the future of our finance capability.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Oversee all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations and processes
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with tax, audit, and external reporting requirements
  • Lead, support, and develop a small team of finance professionals
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business to deliver financial insights and improve performance
  • Provide clear and concise analysis on key financial drivers
  • Manage cashflow forecasting and contribute to strategic planning
  • Play a key role in the year-end and audit process
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and reporting
  • Deputise for the Finance Director when needed
What We're Looking For
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 5+ years' post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience preparing management accounts and delivering financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent working knowledge of Sage 200 and advanced Excel skills (including pivots, lookups)
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Commercially astute with the ability to interpret and explain financial information to non-finance colleagues
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive mindset
  • Confident communicator who can challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the financial services market would be preferred.
