A family business with commercial and residential property interests alongside operational boating marinas including holiday cottages, is creating a new role heading its finance team.
The post would suit a commercially minded newly qualified accountant with the ability to take charge of the finance function.
Responsibilities will include:
Take responsibility for the day to day operation of all finance functions
Integrating the finance department fully into all commercial areas of the businesses
Preparing monthly management accounts for the individual entities within the group
Preparing consolidated management accounts
Preparing year end accounts and tax computations
Liaising with all commercial teams to ensure accurate cash flow reporting
Implementing a yearly budgeting process to include reporting against budgets on a quarterly basis
Ensuring statutory compliance with HMRC
Presentation of financial information to board
Ad hoc project work
It is anticipated that the role will grow to encompass commercial input and management responsibility into the operational areas of the business.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must:
Be ACCA / ACA qualified or part-qualified
Have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience at a UK accountancy or commercial firm
