Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in financial management, take taking responsibility for preparing, developing, and analysing relevant P&L accounts and Balance Sheets, developing a deep understanding of the actuals whilst being able to clearly identify and explain the root causes of variances to budgets/forecasts..

Responsibilities & duties:



Daily



Production of daily production schedules to enable daily variances to Standards.

Weekly



Short-term forecast P&L, previous weeks comparisons. On time and accurate reporting of weekly financial results, including stock reconciliations, variances to standards, labour variances.
Work with the Financial Controller to establish and to subsequently maintain a weekly cost model to enable reporting of:

GM1 and GM2 at standard Material purchase cost variance Material waste, yield and substitution variances Direct labour variances Purchase Ledger payment run approval. Assist Credit controller with bank reconciliation, IF reconciliation

Monthly



Preparation of monthly management accounts, to include: Journals, prepayments, accruals, fixed asset register/Depreciation. Supplier Statement reconciliation. First draft completion for review by the Financial Controller Reconciliation to weekly reporting and explaining differences. Variances to Budget Balance sheet Recs Ad-hoc reports are required to fulfil the needs of the company. Comply with Company Policy to ensure that adhered on all matters concerning Health and Safety, reporting any breaches as appropriate.
Any other relevant duties required by Management or the Company.

Qualifications



5 GCSES/ O Levels grade A-C (grades 4-9) including English and Maths
AAT Level 4 or equivalent

Experience



2 Years Accounting experience Experience working within a manufacturing environment

Skills & Knowledge



Good interpersonal skills, with attention to detail Good working knowledge of using Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook) Good understanding of Finance functions and processes. Knowledge of food manufacturing industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 41,000.00 per year
