An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as an Management Accountant in Allied Pharmacies Head Office. Allied Pharmacies is a chain of pharmacies based on partnerships with local pharmacists. Utilising over 50 years of combined experience within this sector we now boast a portfolio of over 45 pharmacies across the UK. We are looking for a dynamic, dependable, and pleasant team player who is customer focused with good communication and interpersonal skills. To be successful in this role you will need a desire to learn and progress in our business. Tasks will include: Production of monthly financial reporting and supporting information in required time frame for a number of entities - there are both single branch companies and multiple branch companies Preparation of posting of journals and uploading journal onto the system - accruals, prepayments Responsible for reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts Manage junior members of the team - day to day first point of contact to resolve issues, overseeing their workflow and productivity, authorise and manage annual leave, monthly 121's and annual appraisals Work with Finance Manager and Finance Director to identify opportunities to improve finance processes and implement changes Stock reconciliation, working closely with other departments to ensure stock transfers are recorded Essential to have advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge with the ability to present and analyse data Prepare ad hoc reports for Directors and external regulations Salary will be dependent on experience Job Type: Full-time
