With a dynamic team of around 80 people and continued growth, we are looking for a talented Management Accountant to join our finance team.
Your Position
As a Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance Director and the wider finance department by delivering accurate and timely management accounts and financial analysis. You will also provide guidance, training, and support to junior members of the finance team. In addition to this, you will advise senior management on financial strategies and performance, ensuring the business's financial health and decision-making process are supported with accurate data and insights.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified-by-experience individual with a strong background in financial management and a passion for driving process improvements and contributing to business success.
Your Responsibilities
Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including profit & loss and balance sheets
Provide financial analysis and strategic advice to senior management on key financial decisions and business performance
Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts
Manage multi-currency bank reconciliations and oversee financial transactions
Review and submit VAT returns, EC Sales lists, and Intrastat filings
Conduct internal audits in preparation for the end-of-year audit
Liaise with external auditors and assist with year-end audit preparations
Work closely with departments such as operations, purchasing, and sales to improve understanding of costs, risks, and opportunities, and to help define and set meaningful KPIs
Support the Finance Director in creating and improving financial reports, analysis, and forecasting
Develop dashboards and support wider financial insights
Drive automation, workflow improvements, and ERP system efficiencies, particularly in Microsoft Dynamics NAV
Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial regulations, and due diligence procedures
Contribute to the company's fraud prevention efforts, data protection policies (GDPR), and internal controls
Provide ongoing training and development to staff, helping to build a high-performing team
Undertake additional finance-related duties as required
What We're Looking For
ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified or part qualified or qualified by experience.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience using ERP systems ideally Microsoft Dynamics NAV
Experience creating MI Reports; SQL base knowledge would be very beneficial
Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and analytical skills
Tech-savvy with a keen interest in automation and ERP-driven process improvements
A confident communicator, proactive and team-oriented
Understanding of data protection, internal controls, and fraud awareness
