At Chemist4U, were looking for a highly motivated, results-oriented Management Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is a strategic position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's growth and success. You will assist the Finance Manager with the full financial accounting cycle, manage month-end close, and produce accurate reports, including variance analysis, profitability statements, and cash flow forecasts. In addition, the successful Management Accountant will support strategic planning by conducting cost analysis, identifying savings, and helping implement long-term financial strategies while managing financial risks.
Key Responsibilities
As the Management Accountant at Chemist4U, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Conduct cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities
Support the development and implementation of long-term financial strategies
Manage financial risk by analysing potential risks and developing mitigation strategies
Utilise and maintain the company's ERP system (Microsoft Business Central 365) for accounting, reporting, and financial analysis
Stay current on the latest financial technology trends and identify opportunities for system improvement
Assist the Finance Manager with all aspects of the financial accounting cycle, including accounts receivable, and general ledger
Manage month-end closing procedures and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Analyse financial data and prepare detailed reports for management, including variance analysis, profitability statements, and cash flow forecasts
Implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Provide guidance and support to the transactional finance team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
Identify and recommend training opportunities for the financial team to stay current with best practices.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a skilled financial professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment. You will have experience in e-commerce or fast-growing sectors, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal Management Accountant will possess the ability to showcase the following skills and experience:
Part qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA equivalent professional accounting
Minimum 2 years of experience in a progressive or similar role
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Proven experience in managing all aspects of the financial accounting cycle
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Business Central 365
Experience with e-commerce accounting principles is highly desirable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
