We have a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our Head Office team in Eastleigh, Hampshire.The Opportunity:You will take responsibility for producing monthly management accounts, accruals and prepayments; P&L and balance sheet reconciliations; and support the annual audit process.Beyond the fundamentals of accounting, this position offers a unique opportunity to significantly shape and enhance business performance by collaborating closely with senior leadership, providing strategic partnership, and delivering actionable financial insights.Role responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and reviewing management accounts, ensuring accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with UK GAAP.
  • Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial compliance.
  • Submitting and validating composite financial data.
  • Collaborating closely with site management and operational teams.
  • Monitoring budget adherence and identifying variances.
  • Supporting and participating in financial audits.
  • Analysing profitability trends and financial performance, highlighting areas of risk and growth opportunity.
  • Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Recommending initiatives for cost control and efficiency enhancement, identifying operational inefficiencies, and recommending process improvements.
  • Providing actionable KPIs and insightful management reports, supplying data-driven insights to support operational and commercial decision-making.
  • Actively engaging in cross-departmental projects and initiatives.

About You:
  • Part-qualified or qualified (ACCA/CIMA).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • IT expertise including strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems, as well as willingness to learn and develop new skills, including financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Ability to organise workload effectively, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in the motor trade or a similarly complex, commercial industry is desirable.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for preparing reports and handling queries.
  • Proactive and motivated with a keen interest in financial processes.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Professional, dependable, and committed to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial matters.
