About Burghley and the Role

The Management Accountant position is a new role, reporting to the Group Accountant. You will be an integral part of account production, supporting and enhancing the financial operations of the company.
BHPT is a complex business with many different companies, including wholly owned subsidiaries and a number of additional small charities. This makes reporting increasingly complex and we recognise the need to modernise and transform the accounting function.
This role will be critical to this transformation - reviewing and evolving processes across the whole Estate, implementing a robust reporting pack, and reviewing and replacing the accounting system (currently Sage 50).
This is a hands-on role, which will suit an ambitious and motivated individual who is already in a management accounting position and looking to develop their career further.
Key responsibilities:
Preparing and improving monthly management reporting.
Working with external parties on statutory reporting, tax and compliance.
Managing the day to day operations for one or more subsidiaries.
Work with teams across the business to improve management information and streamline processes.

Accounting qualification, CIMA / ACCA or equivalent desirable.

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written essential, including proven ability to convey complex and technical scenarios to non-accountants essential.
