At Totally Local Company an opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant who possess' a professional demeanour, sound judgement and integrity to join our Finance team
You'll lead a high quality cost centre accounting service
You'll maintain and develop systems of internal financial control
You'll ensure accurate accounting and reporting of financial information
You'll provide an effective projects accounting service
You'll assist in the development of pricing models
You'll oversee the performance of debtors and stock
You'll assist in training other members of the Finance Team
General
You'll present the monthly results at the monthly business unit review meeting
You'll liaise with key stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure improved operational
performance.
You'll maintain adherence to financial processes, compliance rules/policies and Totally Local Company's guidelines.
You'll assist and follow-up on KPIs/PPIs for financial processes
You'll assist in producing and efficient Budget and re-forecast process including Profit and Loss
You'll assist in the development of Finance systems and Controls
You'll assist with Credit control including delivery of policies, collection of all debts in a timely manner and to manage legal collections if required
You'll lead on large scale projects, as required by the Finance Manager
You'll help develop a supportive customer-facing team atmosphere within the Finance Team via regular 1:21s, regular team meetings and other group activities.
You'll undertake any reasonable task requested by the Finance Manager or Finance Director.
You'll provide ad hoc reporting and analysis to all levels of management as required
You'll build a strong relationship with each of the Business Managers responsible for managing key business segments and assisting with key decision making.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
You'll have 1-2 years' experience of preparing Management Accounts
You'll have experience of building and maintaining relationships with both external and internal customers
You'll have the ability to analyse figures
You'll be an effective team worker
You'll have a good understanding of double entry book-keeping
You'll have experience of using Financial ERP systems (especially SAP B1)
Formal qualifications are not a requirement but candidates will be expected to have knowledge equivalent to AAT Level 3/AAT Level 4/the first level of CIMA or ACCA
