The Role:

We're looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Integrated Water Services (Mechanical & Electrical) Finance team. This is a key role, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. This challenging and rewarding position will give you the opportunity to make your mark in a commercially focused and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Implementing and maintaining financial control Regular communication with all levels of management across the business Knowledge of accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, posting journals and carrying out monthly project reviews An understanding of cost management accounting ensuring controls and processes are being adhered to as well as improved where possible. Preparing all levels of month-end reporting packs in a timely and accurate manner Supporting on a variety of other financial reporting and analysis tasks as needed to fulfil company and group requirements. Supporting the Statutory accounting and reporting process carried out through Group Finance, including the external audit of the IWS M&E business As the role is within a small team, there will be a requirement to support day-to-day financial processing

The Ideal Candidate:

Qualified in CIMA or ACCA, with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail is a must, given the fast-paced environment of the business. Good communication, analytical and presentation skills. Strong IT skills in Excel and other Microsoft packages. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the water industry, but this is not essential. Possessing a strong commercial background, you will be able to present and communicate complex financial information in a clear way to Senior Managers and the Exec team. To succeed, you will need to be a real team player with a "can do" attitude as well as upholding attributes of honesty, integrity and discretion. Excellent attention to detail as well as the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
