Job Title: Management Accountant Location: Wigston, Leicester

Reports To: Head of Finance Type: Full-Time 9 Months FTC

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in the logistics sector. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring accurate financial planning, performance monitoring, and decision-making support across our logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly management accounts, accruals, prepayment, including variance analysis and commentary. VAT Submissions
Monitor and manage daily cash and provide forecasts.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes Analyse profitability by route, customer, and service type. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)

Cost Management

Input invoices, track and monitor costings Manage both AR & AP
Conduct periodic reviews of cost drivers and recommend cost-saving opportunities.

Business Partnering

Collaborate with operations and warehousing teams to support decision-making with financial insights. Provide financial modelling for new business initiatives, warehouse expansions, or route optimisation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, AAT) preferred or in progress. Strong proficiency in Excel; experience using Xero Ability to interpret operational data and translate it into financial insights. High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. Strong communication and business partnering abilities.

Pay: 25,000.00-35,000.00 per year
