Salary

: 45k per annum, dependent on experience

The Purpose of the Role



As Management Accountant, you will own the day-to-day financial control and reporting across the group, while supporting Directors with insight, planning and decision-making.

You will be hands-on. You will be trusted. You will be expected to spot issues early, ask difficult questions, and improve how things are done. This role bridges detail and strategy.

What You Will Be Accountable For

:

Management Accounts & Reporting



Owning and delivering timely, accurate monthly management accounts Preparing P&L, balance sheet and balance sheet reconciliations Performing variance analysis and explaining performance clearly Owning the month-end close process

Financial Controls & Process



Reviewing bookkeeping output and ensuring data integrity Maintaining bank and balance sheet reconciliations Maintaining the sales ledger Issuing sales invoices and receipts across three group companies Posting month-end journals, including payroll and petty cash Managing intercompany and affiliated company recharges Supporting year-end preparation Improving processes, controls and reporting efficiency alongside the FD

Commercial & Decision Support



Supporting budgeting and forecasting Providing financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions Working with operational teams to improve financial understanding

Compliance & Governance



Ensuring compliance with UK financial regulations and tax requirements Staying up to date with regulatory changes and advising leadership accordingly

Team & Systems



Supporting and potentially line-managing the Bookkeeper Assisting with system improvements, automation and tooling Helping professionalise the finance function as the group grows

Who This Role Is For



Essential

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Strong management accounting experience Comfortable operating in fast-moving, imperfect environments Strong Excel and QuickBooks capability Able to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance leaders Willing to be hands-on and accountable for outcomes
Desirable

Experience working across multiple entities Experience supporting founder-led or purpose-led organisations We are looking for someone commercially minded, detail-oriented and proactive. Someone who doesn't wait to be asked and doesn't hide behind spreadsheets.
