Job Description

Our rapidly expanding energy efficiency, heating and renewable company is seeking a Part-Time Management Accountant to join our friendly and supportive team in Worthing, West Sussex.

Main purpose of job:

To ensure the smooth day-to-day running of invoicing and financial control across multiple companies within the Platinum Group . Each company operates in the energy sector but has unique financial processes and requirements, making this role crucial for maintaining comprehensive and accurate financial records.

This is an

"in office" role at our office based in Worthing and

not available remotely.



Ideally required as 5 days per week. Ideally, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Oversee the financial operations of all companies, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and financial reporting for each entity.

Invoicing and Accounts:

Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable, generate invoices for clients, and allocate direct costs to specific projects using appropriate accounting software and our in-house CRM system.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare financial reports and updates for the Directors, providing clear and timely financial data to support decision-making.

Customer Support:

Provide financial-related customer support as needed, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to invoicing and payments.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies for both entities, maintaining meticulous records and documentation.

Requirements are as follows:



Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Process invoices and payments in a timely manner Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions Prepare financial reports, including cashflow forecasts, balance sheets and income statements Run payroll , CIS and tax filings Monitor and analyse financial data to identify discrepancies or trends Processing and setting up for payment authorisation of all incoming supplier invoices Tracking and checking of all incoming customer invoices Processing and submitting all VAT payments Preparing end of year accounts for main accountant Preparing quarterly management information and monthly P&L for review

Necessary attributes and qualifications are as follows:



Accounting or bookkeeping qualification High discipline and motivation Full working Knowledge of Xero accounting software Full working knowledge of Hubdoc Full working knowledge of HMRC live payroll system Ability to generate payslips Ability to understand accounts and generate requested management information from them Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping Excellent organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
