Management Accountant

45,000 to 70,000 (Negotiable depending on experience)

Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday (flexible between 7am-5pm)

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant to join our team at Dearboy Petcare Ltd, we are based in Wrexham, founded in 2023, we have a modern state of the art food manufacturing facility producing premium pet food, servicing the major supermarkets and pet specialists worldwide. This role provides broad exposure across financial reporting, analysis, and business improvement. Suited to an ambitious individual looking to build on their technical expertise, gain commercial experience, and play a part in shaping financial processes and decision-making in a fast-paced growing business. An ideal position for a candidate currently employed in an accounting practice role, looking for career growth within the manufacturing industry.

Financial Management & Reporting

o

Preparation of management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and statutory accounts.

o

Preparation and posting of journals and nominal postings including accruals and prepayments.

o

Deliver monthly finance packs (P&L, cashflow, variance analysis, departmental Budget).

o

Monitor performance across business units and provide insight to managers.

o

Ensure compliance with tax, VAT and statutory obligations.

o

Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and fixed asset registers.

o

Support other departments in understanding financial information and improving cost control.

Requirements:

o

A recognized accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA) or previous experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

o

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently across operational and corporate teams.

o

A proactive, hands-on approach with a curious mindset and willingness to learn.

o

Strong systems knowledge and the ability to adapt quickly to new tools.

o

Comprehensive Excel skills for data management.

o

Proven ability to improve financial performance and strengthen controls.
