We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to support financial operations within a not-for-profit organisation. This temporary role, based in York, focuses on delivering accurate financial reports and analysis to aid decision-making.

• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis to stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with auditors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Assist in forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity within financial systems.
• Provide ad-hoc financial support and analysis as required.

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• A recognised accounting qualification or part-qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Strong experience in management accounting within the not-for-profit sector or similar.
• Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Adaptability to manage a temporary role effectively.
