Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team within the fast-paced logistics sector. This role is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful management information, and effective cost control to support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will also oversee a small team, ensuring efficient workflows and professional development within the department.
Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational costs. Partner with operational teams to provide financial insights and drive efficiencies. Manage and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors. Contribute to system improvements and automation of financial processes.

Qualifications:
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). Previous experience in a management accounting role. Excellent analytical, communication, and Excel skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
