Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to join the business as a Management Accounts Assistant within our Refurb and Remarketing Operation at our Cold Meece, Stone site. The role will involve working directly with our Head of Accounts to support with regular monthly tasks and assist with the general operations of the entire Accounts function.

Hours:

9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday, i.e. 37.5 hours per week. 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid).

Salary:

Dependent on experience (will be discussed at interview stage).

The role would ideally suit an individual who has previous experience in Management Accounting and general administration. We are seeking a driven individual who is adaptable to a changing task list, to ensure the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Regular reconciliation tasks. Purchase ledger, coding and inputting of invoices and credit notes, supplier statement reconciliations, payment runs and resolving supplier queries. Nominal ledger, posting bank, intercompany and other nominal ledger journals. Assisting accountants to close the month and resolve queries.

Ideally, we are looking for:

Excellent numeracy skills. Confidence to analyse large amounts of data. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook). Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy. Ability to meet deadlines. Confidence to handle queries face to face, over the telephone and via email. Capable of prioritising workload. Motor trade, automotive or car dealership experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. Knowledge of Keyloop system would be an advantage. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Previous experience in a similar role. Your normal place of work will be at our Cold Meece site, ST15 0GR. The ideal candidate would also be able to travel to and work from our High Ercall Site, TF6 6RA 1-2 days per week, as required.
