Job Description
Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant - Management Accounts Assistant who is looking for their next step into more of an Assistant Accountant type role. The Accounts Assistant will be assisting the Finance Manager with everyday financial support with a variety of accounting tasks, cash flow and management accountant reporting.
Salary: up to \xc2\xa327K
Location: Office based - Uckfield
**due to the rural location, must have own transport
Assistant Accountant - Accounts Assistant duties:
- Recording monthly income and reconcile customer accounts
- Reconciling control accounts
- Processing and reconciliation of bank accounts
- Credit card and petty cash reconciliation, allocation, and postings
- Checking and processing journals and internal recharges
- Weekly and monthly payment runs
- Monitoring expenditure and process invoices for payment
- Processing and maintenance accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset register
- Assisting the Finance Manager with VAT returns
- Ensuring all processes are up to date and correctly documented
- Month end management account prep
- Proven experience working in a similar Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant role
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Strong analytical skills
