City Base @Scott Street, Perth We are seeking a highly organised part time Management Assistant with a broad range of administrative skills to join our Business Support Team, which supports professional social work staff based within our office in Scott Street, Perth. You may also be required to support other locations in the Perth city area. We support social work staff who provide a wide range of services to children, young people and families \xe2\x80\x93 this can be a very demanding environment. This is an exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of administrative skills, for example, managing room bookings, inputting data onto different electronic systems and using Microsoft Office packages extensively. There is also an opportunity to learn about financial transactions (from placing orders on our ordering system to issuing funds to social workers etc). Practical skills required for this post include:

  • Customer Service, dealing with room bookings, housekeeping arrangements and enquiries from staff and customers alike (including contact with volunteers, school staff, managers and external partners etc).
  • Providing administrative support for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme Coordinator.
  • Word processing.
  • Uploading case records on to electronic social care record (training provided).
  • Updating databases (full training will be provided).
  • Excel spreadsheet work.
  • Inputting data onto social work practitioner system (training will be provided).
  • Finance work e.g. petty cash handling, placing orders.
  • Any other general administrative duties as allocated by the line manager.

The Individual

You will be motivated, curious, flexible and dedicated to delivering an excellent business administrative support service. You will be someone who is keen to learn and develop your skills and knowledge and work closely with others within the team. You must have a good standard of general education (including Standard Grade, or equivalent, in English, Arithmetic or Maths) and it would be beneficial if you have an administration qualification. You should have a willingness to undertake further training/education.
