THE ROLE

The successful candidate would be based in the Sheffield office and part of the surveying team who manage Meadowhall. The candidate would be expected to take responsibility for management of speciality retail within the centre together with ancillary storage and management of property (owned by British Land) on sites which surround Meadowhall. The role will involve all aspects of property management but also a degree of agency work in connection with speciality retail.

WHAT YOU\'LL DO

  • Lead the property management (all aspects) and leasing of The Lanes.
  • Lead the property management (all aspects of the mall kiosks/RMUs liaising with the commercialisation team.
  • Lead the property management (all aspects) and leasing of storage units.
  • Liaise with external solicitors regarding legal matters including, instructing new leases, lease renewals, variations, break notices, reinstatement notices, dilapidations.
  • Provide recommendations to internal stake holders regarding new occupations, tenant arrears and general landlord and tenant matters.
  • Provide recommendations to internal stake holders regarding potential cost saving or income generating opportunities.
  • To oversee the service charge budgets of the wider Meadowhall estate.
  • To ensure compliance with the service charge professional statement.
  • Ensuring property management systems and property records are maintained and accurate.
  • To assist with all aspects of managing void and vacant units.
  • Assist in arranging business rates mitigation across the Meadowhall estate.
  • Preparation of documents such as arrears/transaction lists and completion statements.
  • Preparation of management reports, tenancy schedules, service charge budgets/forecasts and year end reports.
  • Assist in accurately recording insolvencies across the Meadowhall estate.
  • Support the finance and credit control teams regarding invoicing and collection of sums due.
  • Assist in issuing of LBA\'s and debt recovery proceedings.
  • To assist with all landlord and tenant matters, preparation of licences and raising associated fees.
  • To assist with the management of dilapidations.
  • Assist in the measurement and recording of floor areas.
  • To assist, where necessary, with development projects across the Meadowhall Estate.
  • To assist with the annual business planning process.
  • Ensure compliance with BL policies and best practices.
  • To carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested from time to time.
ABOUT YOU
  • Be studying towards or have completed an RICS accredited degree
  • Have a good knowledge of the property industry (ideally retail property industry).
  • Possess good IT skills (including Microsoft Excel).
  • Have a \'can do\' attitude.
  • Have strong organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
