Job Description


We are looking for a Statutory Accountant to join our UK team.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager you will work in the Group\xe2\x80\x99s International Controllership function and will be responsible for the timely delivery of high-quality audits for with specific responsibilities for our UK legal entities.

This is an amazing opportunity for someone with exceptional relationship building skills, as you will be working cross functionally with business finance, corporate functions, internal & external audit, and within the shared service centre community.

About You \xe2\x80\x93 experience, education, skills, and accomplishments.

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business administration/Accounting and Finance

Qualified accountant in ACCA, ACA or CPA.

At least 3 years of post qualification experience

Previous people management experience

Solid financial and management accounting background

Prior experience within a multinational organization.

It would be great if you also had . . .

Comprehensive knowledge of UK GAAP and preparation of UK statutory accounts

Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS desirable

Knowledge of End-to-end accounting process

Advanced Excel skills

Prior experience with Oracle NetSuite, OneStream and Workiva preferred.

What will you be doing in this role?

Own the statutory accounts process from start to finish for multiple UK entities, including completing USGAAP to UKGAAP comparison and adjusting USGAAP amounts as necessary to arrive at local UK GAAP amounts.

Review statutory financial statements to ensure balances and disclosures are accurate and complete.

Work with other internal teams, including Finance, Legal, Tax, and Treasury, to ensure accuracy of data, review of draft statements, and successful audit completion.

Answering auditor queries on statutory accounts and providing supporting documentation as required review technical and complex transactions under UK GAAP.

Review journals, as required, adjusting US GAAP accounts to local GAAP statutory accounts.

Communicate and coordinate with relevant internal groups and ensure all audit requirements are met to the agreed timelines.

Manage compliance reporting while ensuring timely filing of all statutory accounts.

Identify potential areas of process improvement and working with peers and management to implement.

About the Team

The role reports to the Senior Finance Manager and is based in the London region. We are a team of 5 colleagues based in the UK & Ireland

Hours of Work

This is a full-time permanent position based in London, UK and will require hybrid working in our London office on Liverpool Street (2-3 days per week in office, rest of week remote).

This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours.
