Cafe au lait is a small family run business based in Bath.
We're looking for someone who can offer impeccable customer service, have a keen eye for detail, and a positive can-do attitude. The role will be hands-on, overseeing an exceptional level of customer service and a quality coffee offering, whilst also keeping on top of your managerial duties.
You will be working within an experienced team of baristas, FOH staff and skilled chefs.
Passion, energy and a genuine desire to offer the very best possible experience to each customer that has chosen to visit us is essential.
The ideal candidate will have management experience within the hospitality industry, and a preferably though not necessarily a background in specialty coffee although full coffee training will be offered. More than anything, you will positively contribute to the overall atmosphere, the team and to the customer experience. You will be someone who thrives on positive change and is able to build and lead a team under pressure in a busy environment.
We expect that you:
Lead and inspire the team.
Manage the day to day operation of the venue and ensure the smooth running of every shift.
Have a true passion for great customer service.
Have an infallible eye for detail across all areas.
Create and manage staff rotas that meet both the needs of the team and the business.
Oversee all stock ordering.
Responsible for the day to day Health & Safety and ensuring all Food Hygiene guidelines are maintained.
Able to serve consistently great coffee, through busy periods in the form of espresso and milk based beverages
Make a clear plan on social media platforms (preffered but not essential)
Wage depends on experience and how many weekly hours you prefer to work, shifts are usually over 4 or 5 days per week earliest start is 7am and latest finish is 4:30pm
