We are a long-established, privately owned group with a 100-year history of building and operating successful businesses and accumulating property assets. With a strategically located warehouse in Rainham (40,000 sq ft), just off the A13 with quick access to London and the new Thames Freeport, we are poised to launch our next venture--freight forwarding, storage, and logistics.

Almost 10 years ago, we started an archive and document storage business from scratch. Through smart lead generation and exceptional customer service, we've grown it into a thriving business serving hundreds of clients across London and the M25. Now, we want to do it again--with logistics and freight forwarding at the core.

The Role:

We're looking for an experienced, energetic, and entrepreneurial person to help us build this new business. This is not a role for someone who wants a roadmap handed to them. It's for someone who thrives on opportunity, autonomy, and the chance to shape something from a blank canvas.

We see the first stage of the journey setting up freight forwarding, either by acquiring a company or lead generation and converting these to customers

You will:

Help define and execute our logistics and freight forwarding strategy Make use of vacant warehouse space to drive revenue Lead customer acquisition--both through your contacts and by helping us shape lead generation Identify and assess acquisition opportunities as we grow by buying existing operations Build a profitable, customer-focused business that can scale Work alongside an ownership team that supports and invests in long-term growth You will feel on your own at times, imaging day one will be an office, phone and you making calls, making things happen, creating leads, making deals alongside searching out new acquisitions. There isn't a team around you!

You bring:

Solid experience in logistics & freight forwarding which is very important as we see this as the start of our journey to a complete logistics solution A commercial mindset and proven ability to grow a business or division The energy and determination to take ownership and drive performance A hands-on, proactive approach to solving problems and seizing opportunities

Salary will be competitive in the market place 50,000 - 75,000 based n experience

Bonus and incentives based on milestones, these will be decided when the person joins, and we set out on our business building journey

Based in Rainham with visits to our other office in Romford from time to time.

Working from home a day or two a week might be a better use of time in the start-up phase but being visible and part of the team moving forward will be required

The normal tools to complete the job, phone, laptop

Car mileage paid for business use
