Exciting career opportunity for a motivated head waiter. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a highly experienced head waiter (preferably with more than 15 years experience) to become a manager/stakeholder in our Greek restaurant in Cranbrook. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant operations, demonstrating exceptional guest service skills. As the Head Server, you will oversee the dining experience, ensuring that guests receive top-notch service, but you will also be the driving force for the restaurant itself. This role is hands-on and pivotal to transformation of the experience.

Duties

Lead and coordinate the other members of the team to deliver outstanding guest experiences. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during food preparation and service. Manage table assignments and monitor service flow to optimise guest satisfaction. Assist in training new staff on restaurant procedures, menu items, and customer service techniques. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally. Promote menu items through effective upselling techniques to enhance dining experiences. Maintain a clean and organised dining area, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. work hand-in-hand with the kitchen team to make the very most of the operation, so that the reputation of the restaurant is enhanced. care for our customers in such a way that repeat business is developed. Skills

Strong hospitality skills with a passion for providing excellent guest services. Previous restaurant experience is essential, with a focus on serving roles. Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is crucial. Basic math skills for handling bills and payments accurately. Experience in kitchen or culinary environments is advantageous. Exceptional time management abilities to handle busy service periods efficiently. Proficient in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities.
