The HR Manager will manage and deliver a spectrum of local HR operations and activities, including and not limited to talent acquisition, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, compensation & benefit, payroll, performance management, learning & development and other HR duties at our UK site.





The role is expected to represent, in line with approved authority levels, the Director, Human Resources during his/her absence, and will also support the UK business to develop a positive company culture with involvement in global HR initiatives and projects.



At the same time the role will ensure strict legal compliance of all HR matters.




Your main responsibilties are:






Manage and coordinate the full operational employee lifecycle processes to ensure all tasks are fully complete; identify potential improvements and evaluation of current processes regarding employee lifecycle As a HR Manager for assigned business function, support the Talent Acquisition team in the recruitment process, including salary proposals, employee offers, employment contracts and managing SAP data Develop and facilitate employee onboarding programs for new joiners, ensuring a good experience for new employees at various touchpoints Administer work permit applications and renewal for foreigners and their dependents Ensure HRMS records and ad hoc platforms are updated accurately and in a timely manner Work collaboratively with key stakeholders such as global functional leaders, functional HRBPs and HR Managers/HR People Partners in terms of approvals of employee changes Coordinate and manage the monthly payroll process, ensuring timely data collection working closely with the Payroll Team in Germany Administer local benefit programs amongst employees and third parties Communicate and advise employees and managers on HR guidelines and policies Make recommendations for HR policies and practices in compliance with the local regulations and governances Support audits and have an oversight of any compliance or legislative requirements. Prepare regular and ad-hoc HR related reports for Management review Conduct and analyse exit interviews, feeding back trends that may require attention Support logistics activities for local training and development initiatives, including employee personal development programmes Ensure adherence to safety measures and control, emergency procedures and SHE work instructions to ensure a safe working environment for the team. Any other duties as assigned



What you have to offer:






Bachelor Degree predominately in HRM and/or Labour Law related Additional formal training or education in HR like coaching, interview skill, C&B etc. minimum 10 years' experience in local HR Operational exposure in a fast-paced life science industry Good knowledge of current local labour laws and regulations (e.g. Employment Act, immigration sponsorships) Good knowledge of UK payroll basics Prior experience in working and collaborating a matrix environment within a global structure Confident with ambiguity and having an agile mindset Independent, quick-learner with strong sense of responsibility and initiative Passionate in human resources with ability to foster positive relationships Strong communication skills who can deliver innovative ideas and results-oriented Sensitive in handling confidential information Exceptional attention to detail and strong team player Proficient in using MS Office in Word, Excel Advanced and Powerpoint; knowledge in SAP SuccessFactors application is beneficial Strong written and verbal English proficiency Ability to receive constructive feedback, learn and develop to improve ways of working
