General Manager - The Fox and Vivian Pub in Leamington Spa

We are seeking a General Manager to oversee the operations of The Fox and Vivian, a vibrant and popular pub located in the heart of Leamington Spa. Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management: Lead, motivate, and inspire a diverse team of front-of-house and kitchen staff at The Fox and Vivian, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging teamwork. Set performance targets, provide guidance, and conduct regular training sessions to ensure exceptional service standards.

2. Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of daily operations at The Fox and Vivian, including customer service, food and beverage preparation, inventory management, and cleanliness. Monitor and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as licensing requirements.

3. Customer Satisfaction: Strive to create an exceptional customer experience at The Fox and Vivian by ensuring prompt and friendly service, managing inquiries and concerns effectively, and consistently delivering high-quality food and beverages.

4. Financial Management: Drive profitability at The Fox and Vivian by maximizing revenue, controlling costs, and managing budgets. Analyse financial data, implement strategies to optimise sales, and identify areas for improvement. Monitor inventory levels, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain accurate records.

5. Marketing and Promotion: Develop and execute marketing initiatives at The Fox and Vivian to attract new customers and retain existing ones. Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging promotions, events, and campaigns. Utilise social media platforms and other marketing channels to enhance the visibility of The Fox and Vivian and drive footfall.

6. Staff Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team at The Fox and Vivian. Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth, recognising and rewarding exceptional performance.

7. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers. Actively engage with local organisations and participate in community events to build brand loyalty for The Fox and Vivian and contribute to the local community.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role within the hospitality industry.

- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- In-depth knowledge of pub operations, including food and beverage management, customer service, and staff scheduling.

- Sound understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, cost control, and profit optimisation.

- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure while maintaining a customer-centric approach.

- Proficient in using relevant software applications for inventory management and point of sale systems.

- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and liquor licensing requirements.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
