Summary



Perform high-quality insightful oversight in relation to a number of core compliance activities and risks: Regulatory Notifications; Regulatory Authorisations, Permissions and Waivers; Non-Financial Regulatory and Statutory Reporting; CASS; Political Engagement Cross Border Activity.



Looking to identify an experienced Compliance Officer who has skills and industry experience in a number of core compliance activities and risks - specifically Regulatory Notifications; Regulatory Authorisations, Permissions and Waivers; Non-Financial Regulatory and Statutory Reporting; CASS; Political Engagement; Cross Border Activity).


The successful candidate will join a small team who are responsible for perform high-quality insightful oversight in these areas.


Specifically, t

he successful candidate will:



Assist in maintenance of Compliance policies and standards, and coordinate embedding these across the Group.

Perform oversight of the effective functioning of Compliance policies, incl. the embedding of control standards and functioning of core processes.

Perform oversight and challenge of adherence to Compliance Risk Appetite.

Identify regulatory changes and oversee regulatory traceability through policies and standards.

Communicate regulatory changes and support business in impact assessment and capability development as required.

Oversight of the delivery of action and remediation plans against specified issues; including advice/guidance or hands-on roles in case of regulatory action (e.g. S166) or breach remediation.

Oversight of assurance plans and activities, including control testing, RCSAs, etc

.

Advice and support around embedding and operating Compliance practices, including guidance on tools / systems where relevant.

Thematic reviews and deep dives for Compliance risks for specific areas of concern (can be cross-business line/function).

Data analytics to identify potential risks, trends and themes to support taking action before a risk materialises

.

Ensure that learnings from outputs of data analytics, thematic reviews etc are communicated back to first line and risk specialists to enable ongoing improvement to the risk and control environment.

Participate in business and functional governance forums where required, providing review and challenge, and escalating any issues where required.
