We provide entrepreneurs, corporates and financial investors with a full suite of M&A services advising on acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, buy-outs and capital raises, a significant number of which are cross-border or international in nature.
Deloitte's M&A Lead Advisory practice is divided into four sector teams in London, comprising: Life Sciences & Healthcare ("LSHC"), Business Services, TMT and Industrials, delivering genuine sector specialism and execution expertise that has underpinned the completion of 135+ transactions in the last 5 years with an aggregate transaction value of 12bn+.
Our UK team also works alongside the Global LSHC M&A Lead Advisory team, which draws on experts from our global member firms to provide our clients with the highest quality professional advice and relevant M&A experience. Our global team includes over 12,200 practitioners dedicated to the LSHC industry in 99 countries and serves 93% of the Fortune Global 500 LSHC companies. Our global LSHC M&A practice has advised on over 220 transactions over the last 4 years.

We are well-regarded in the industry and have won the HealthInvestor "Corporate Financier of the Year" award for 6 out of the last 9 years and the LaingBuisson "Financial Advisor of the Year" award for 5 out of the last 9 years. Our team is part of Deloitte's global sector practice which has been ranked by Mergermarket as the #2 Global M&A advisor to the LSHC sector (by volume) for 2 out of the last 3 years.
We are currently looking for an
experienced Manager
to join our growing and successful team. You will be responsible for:
Working on a range of M&A transactions across the sector
Day-to-day management of transactions which includes taking responsibility for delivery of information memoranda, management presentations, purchaser co-ordination and for preparation of information for client/bidder/stakeholder meetings and communications
Primary contact for the client on a day-to-day basis on most transactions, in addition to liaising with other advisers and potential purchasers, alongside managing key stakeholders
Valuation work including financial modelling such as DCF and LBO analysis
Taking a lead and proactive role in driving forwards marketing and business development opportunities
Connect to your skills and professional experience
Essentials:
ACA, CFA or equivalent qualification
Experience working in the life sciences sector, including pharma, pharma services and MedTech sector
Experience of running day-to-day execution on an M&A transaction
Excellent numeracy skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to absorb and analyse large amounts of data
Client focus, with ability to work quickly and establish effective working relationships
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
Project management and organisational skills
Have an effective approach to time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines
Ability to undertake detailed financial/commercial analysis for inclusion in client deliverables
Ability to connect high level strategic thinking to the micro details of a company's financial information
The self-confidence/appetite to be involved in business development activities
