JOB TITLE: Manager - Strategy, Insights & Innovation (Cash Management & Payments)

LOCATIONS: London

HOURS: Full-Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

Fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in developing our Strategy, Insight & Innovation approach to achieve the growth aspirations of our Cash Management & Payments (CM&P) business!

About This Opportunity

This is a new opportunity to work in our CM&P Solutions team which sits in our Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) division

Your responsibilities include working with the product teams to articulate the strategy with the use of insights, market/client feedback analysis, competitor analysis and ensuring the strategy is well documented, socialised and aligned with the market growth opportunities and dynamics.

You\'ll work closely with both internal (Platforms, Channels, Payments Product team and Accounts and Deposits) teams as well as some engagement with external partners to bring to life the opportunities and positioning against a backdrop of a progressive UK Payments regulatory agenda and a fiercely competitive and highly innovative marketplace.

CM&P provide a diverse range of products and services both domestically and internationally to customers in BCB. The customers in these market segments are demanding and expect a significant level of expertise, enhanced digital experience and exceptional client journeys from the business.

Key Accountabilities:

Contribute and lead market scanning and manage ideation sessions

Facilitate co-creation and focus group sessions with customers

Provide regular updates to the Head of Solutions on the overall execution of the agreed strategy and market context

Contribute to the future development of the combined CM&P proposition for BCB clients to create CM&P 2.0:

Developing with the Solutions leadership team the future strategy for CM&P through evidence and market-based intel and insights

Building and synthesizing external insight for the CM&P Product set to inform and support investment plans, with qualitative and quantitative indicators of success and potential indicative quantifiable value add/ benefits

Communication of the insights for both internal and external consumption to drive product development and thought Leadership

Improve and track performance against market benchmarking/ client journey metrics /KPI\xe2\x80\x99s/ NPS and other relevant client satisfaction metrics

Collaborate across the Group to ensure wider interlinked propositions e.g. Merchant Services and Commercial Cards, to ensure BCB has a joined-up Payments strategy.

Participate on relevant UK and International industry payment forums to build our profile and identify business opportunities/ share knowledge internally

Engagement with external providers/Fintechs, Partner Financial Institutions, Legal, Compliance, amongst others to support in consolidating views on market sentiment

Boldly challenge existing processes, as well as practise and champion change to deliver improvement product propositions

Good understanding of Payments products and emerging technologies

Understanding of the wider payments ecosystem and competitor pressures

Knowledge of payment risk management within banking as well as related mitigants

Evidence of having led and managed projects/teams

Evidence of good partner management

Experience of Digitisation, Automation and Standardisation of products and processes
